Study Group

As part of this class, we will have a weekly study group where we select a paper to read and meet for one hour to discuss the paper. Each student in the class will be expected to lead one or two discussions. This task includes recruiting colleagues in the class to discuss sections of the paper.

The study group is tentatively scheduled for Friday afternoons, 4-5pm, in room 540A/B Cory.

The papers to read will be posted in the class outline. The intent is to mix classic papers with current or recent research papers, and to read all of them critically. (This does not mean, necessarily, to criticize the papers. The term here is used in the sense of literary criticism, meaning the study, discussion, evaluation, and interpretation of literature.)
