Credit: EE 290n is a 3 unit course.

Prerequisite: Graduate standing.

Instructor: The instructor will be Professor Edward A. Lee. Office hours TBA and by appointment.

Class Meetings: Fridays 9-12AM, in 540A/B Cory.

Study group: Tentatively Fridays 4-5PM, in 540A/B Cory.

Required Text: B. A. Davey and H. A. Priestley, Introduction to Lattices and Order, Cambridge University Press, second edition, 2002. This book provides a concise and reasonably complete coverage of the background mathematics.

Other Materials:

Students will be expect to read research papers as provided.

Requirements:

  • The course requires project with a final paper and presentation.
  • Critical review of peer's project papers.
  • Homework assignments.
  • Weekly study group to read and discuss research papers
