A Giotto/EMachine Demonstration

To run the demo you need a Java capable browser. If you do not see a button labeled "Open Emachine" above, then you probably do not have a Java capable browser. The applet will launch a Java EMachine simulator, which will run the compiled demos on your machine. Press the "Open Emachine" button to start an Emachine on your host. Once the Emachine window is open, from the File menu select the demo you want to download from the server. The demos are coded .ecd files, which are encoded E code files. After having chosen the demo, press the start button. You will be able to choose two demos: Hovercraft: This example demonstrates a simple multi-mode 2 dimensional PD controller. The controlled object is a mathematical simulation of a simple hovercraft (see this link for more details on the hovercraft model). By pressing in the are you can set the target destination of the hovercraft. Its orientation can be set on the text field. Goal of the controller is to bring the elevator to the floors where a request was made, and open and close the door. You can make a request by pressing the floor buttons.
