Slow Windows Remote Desktop Connection
Christopher Brooks, 8 Apr 2011
Last updated: 8 Apr 2011

Windows Remote Desktop Connection was slow for me. http://itsolutionsdirect.com/slow-rdp-performance-on-a-server-2008-r2-hyper-v-host/253/ suggests "IPv4 Checksum Offload on the Virtual Network Adapter"

Using regedit, navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

And on that key, make a new DWORD, and name it DisableTaskOffload. Set its value to 1.
