EECS 298-11: CAD Seminar (NOTE special time, day, and room) Friday, May 5, 2pm 400 Cory Hall, Hughes Room Research Developments in Analog CAD at KU-Leuven Georges Gielen KU-Leuven In this presentation, an overview will be given of the recent developments in analog CAD at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. In particular, the following topics will be discussed in detail. The integrated analog synthesis environment will be described which automatically synthesizes analog functional blocks starting from specifications down to layout, in a hierarchical top-down approach. Secondly, the mismatch-sensitive placement tool will be discussed and our present extensions towards routing. Finally, the approach of testing analog circuits by monitoring the power-supply current spectrum will be described. A statistical decision criterion has been developed that considers the processing tolerances in order to minimize the escape rate. Future Seminars: May 10 - Stan Liao, MIT "Code Generation and Optimization for Embedded DSP Processors" End of semester
