EECS 298-11: CAD Seminar Wednesday, March 15, 5pm 531 Cory Hall, Hogan Room System-Level Design Automation: The Unified System Construction Project Alice C. Parker Vice Provost for Research University of Southern California This talk covers the system-level design methodology being followed in the USC Unified System Construction Project. The individual steps in system-level design - partitioning, hardware/software codesign, multiprocessor synthesis, multichip scheduling, pin scheduling and allocation, and system cost and performance prediction - will all be discussed, along with results of designing an example, a JPEG system for image compression. Future Seminars: March 22 - Raul Camposano, Synopsys "Higher Level Design Tools" March 29 - NO SEMINAR, due to Spring break April 5 - Dave Patterson, UC Berkeley "A Case for NOW" April 12 - Ed Clarke, CMU
