	      EDA Investment Outlook and the IPO Process

Mr. Marren will present an introduction to investing in electronic
design automation (EDA) companies and the process of taking a company
public through an initial public offering (IPO).  He will discuss IPO
valuation methodologies, motivations for going public, and what
investors look for in EDA companies.

John Marren is a Managing Director and Senior Technology analyst at
Alex. Brown & Sons, responsible for the Semiconductor and Electronic
Design Automation Software industries.  He has been identified as a
leading Semiconductor Analyst by major publications and institutions,
and was selected as a Wall Street Journal All Star Analyst for 1995.
Mr. Marren has been extensively quoted in numerous national
periodicals including the Economist, Forbes, Fortune, Investors
